there are some people in your life,
who are those people.
you know, those people.
you can call at any time.
you can ask them for any favor.
they are always praying for you,
without having to ask.

when you get to talk, it's the best.
they know your heart
to the very core.
and they believe that you're a good person
no matter what you do.
they are always on your side,
even if you are completely wrong.

they remember your favorite christmas song.
and the stupid things you did together in college.
and they make you laugh deep.
[you know...that deep laughter that comes from the gut]
it's because they know exactly what to say
to bring that ridiculous sound about.

they never think you're stupid
and they always think you're the best.
even when you fail them.
it's because you become part of them
at some point in the journey.
