last night i got to catch a few minutes of
the democratic national convention.
to be honest,
i am SO not into politics.
my reason: i'm too lazy to care.
[it's absolutely horrible, i know]
however,
i'm doing my best to make an effort.
last week, i was excited to hear that donald miller,
one of my favorite authors,
would be giving the closing prayer at the dnc.
i was glad to hear this because,
as he puts it, "evangelical voices have been scarce
within this party..."
anyway, you can read his prayer here.
i was encouraged by it.
not because i'm for any particular side of anything.
rather, because he not only prayed for the democratic party,
but he prayed for the republicans too.
and he said what needed to be said.
"we need you God"
